Principal's Message

Dr. APG Abdul Kalam says “Never stop fighting until you arrive at your destined place – that is, the unique you. Have an aim in life, continuously acquire knowledge, work hard, and have perseverance to realize the great life”.

Education is the right of every citizen born in this world. It aims at the integral development of every human being like moral, physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual maturity. It is an ongoing process that is from womb to tomb. According to the Indian Traditional saying education is “Asatoma Sadgamaya, Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya, Mrtyorma Amrtam gamaya, Om Shanti Shanti Shanti hi…”. The essence of Education is the journey from ignorance to truth, from darkness to light and from death to immortality, at the end man should reach in a peaceful and blissful state.

In the process of Education Parents and Teachers have a very crucial role to perform. Parents are the first teachers. Children learn so many things from the parents. The parents should arrange a proper atmosphere – caring, sharing, nurturing, space for dialogue, everything should be there in a home atmosphere. The core of education is not only to acquire knowledge of different subjects but also the value based, character formation of every child. For the balanced growth of every child the teachers should have a proper dialogue with the parents. In order to live life fully and productively children need to master some skills and qualities. They are needed to successfully navigate the challenges of daily life. The WHO defines life skills “the abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.”

As a result of the outbreak of Corona Virus in 2019 March onwards the education system is disordered in the state of Kerala. Parents and students affected many types of psychological distress like anxiety, depression, fear of contagion, chronic stress, suicidal tendency, internet addiction, financial problems and many other economic, social and psychological problems. Many lost their hope of future life. So many parents lost their job and this also affected the proper education of many children. At the same time we learned so many things during the corona. Children could spend their time with their parents, they started learning so many things by watching you tube and other social medias. As St. Paul said we should be able to live in any circumstances whether it is joyful of painful. Our new education policy also aimed at helping the children to overcome the challenges they face in their day today life.

The motto of our Rose Dale School is “Let your Light Shine.” The goal is to lead every child to the goodness and glory of God. As we shine our light, let’s ask God to continually show us how best to shine so we can be beacons of His life – changing – hope. The ultimate aim of education is forming fruitful citizens for bright future.
